Project Description

Sumitra Modern Academy Vijay Laxmi Nagar, Sitapur , started its journey in the year 1995 . This was a dream project of Mrs Anju Mehta wife of Mr R.K Mehta , the dynamic manager of the Sumitra Group of Schools. The school was started with the aim of providing quality education to the children of this area under the guidance of Mrs.Sukhwant Bajwa. The school under her close supervision and astute monitoring developed by leaps and bounds.

We at Sumitra Modern Academy strive to respect the unique individuality of each child , give the child the right kind of help . We believe that a child will be successful in life if we accept him / her as they are and inspire them to become what they want to become.

We give lot of importance to make discipline a core value, encourage students to develop a sense of responsibility through a well planned academic schedule, House system, various Inter School competitions and activities.

The school has a well-planned curriculum so that co-curricular activities also are given due importance. The school diary give all the important information on school like the routine, rules and regulation, uniforms ,holidays , co-curricular activities. The parents should ensure that their ward is actively involved in all activities.

Finally, I want to assure you that the Management and our team of experienced teachers are doing their best to give your child the required edge.

Why a child should study in Sumitra Modern Academy?

Infrastructure

The more interactive a classroom session is, the better the student participation will be . Better the student participation, better the understanding will be.

We have a well – planned spacious and well ventilated classroom.

Our Sparkling Stars classroom is fully conditioned and equipped with a green board, an LED Screen and a music system along with cupboard for keeping class material and well – furnished furniture and our rest all classrooms have enough desk storage space , in addition to built –in cupboards for keeping school material.

Computer Lab

We have computer lab with number of computers as information technology has become integral to every walk of life . With fully – equipped computer lab, we expose students early to computer education . We have qualified teachers for assisting students .

Smart - Board

We regularly take students for smart class as we know that the smart interactive whiteboard is a technological advancement that significant affects teaching and learning. A smart Board provides quick and easy access to multimedia resources and enables teachers to reach more students by addressing a variety of learning styles.

Admission Rules

1. Children are admitted to school at the age 2+for Pre-Nursery.

2. Admissions are open to all classes until Class 5.

3. Parents may register their ward /wards by collecting registration card with the Admission form attached.
The duly filled admission form, with the prescribed number of photographs, birth certificate, mark sheet and transfer certificate from the previous school has to be submitted along with the admission fee at the time of admission.

4. The registration fee is Rs. 500/- per child for the Academic Year 2019-20. Registration done for a particular year is not refundable of transferable to another year. Payment of registration fee does not mean a guarantee of admission in to the school.

5. Admissions are granted after a written test and a personal interview with the child.

6. Note that in all the classes the school ‘reserves the right ‘to grant or deny admission without specifying any reason.

7. Application of Registration of students in each class is restricted because of limited seats available. Parents are requested to register their ward by December/January every year to avoid disappointment.

All educators believe that the atmosphere within a school is equally important to the success of the student as the curriculum. We try to develop a love for learning by creating stress-free learning environment.

  • We always try to create a positive atmosphere for the students. We try making our school a place where children feel challenged but competent, where they work hard but enjoy it, where their achievement is the product but not mere sole objective . We believe that making school a happy place for learners is a combined outcome of people, places and activities.
  • The key people are the teachers as our teachers welcome their students with a welcoming smile and caring demeanor which allow children to feel safe and noticed and help to develop confidence. Not only this but also by creating a positive environment for learning, the teacher actively models how they would like children to behave.
  • Making a child to sit all the day inside the classrooms makes a child bored of studies. So, we try not to let children stuck in the classroom but we make a balance of indoor and outdoor activities that helps to break exhaustion of children.
  • We do not focus on desk learning because it does not help to develop natural learning and all the senses. Physical play is crucial for children’s motor development as well as for learning social skills of co-operation of teamwork.
