Sumitra Girls Inter College

Initially the seed of ‘sumitra pariwaar’ sprouted as ‘Sumitra Montessori School’. From the year of its establishment, this school for the students of class nursery to class VIIIth has been fulfilling the criteria of the educational needs of the children of Sitapur residents. The constant satisfaction of the parents at every level enkindled them so much that they started to make a heavy demand for making arrangements for further education. In this way Mr. R.K Mehta, The Manager, was inspired to lay foundation of Sumitra Inter College. As result Sumitra Inter College was started with only eight girls in the year 1997. They all passed The Board Examination with Distinction Marks. Now this school is a well known name in the fields of quality education, achievements and a number of awards every year especially for girls.

Mission & Vision

Providing quality education through skilled and qualified Teachers in the separate, safe and cordial environment especially for girls living in and around the towns or villages of Sitapur. This mission was started in 1997 under the loving care, guidance and with the contribution of Late Mr. M.L. Mishra who was popularly known as “Guru Ji”.

From The Principal’s Desk

It gives me immense pleasure to think that Sumitra Inter College has its deep roots in the field of education in Sitapur. I feel proud and privileged to be a part of this magnificent institution. At this juncture, I gratefully acknowledge the yeomen’s service rendered by the predecessors, dedicated teachers and ever supporting parents who have worked selflessly and strenuously to bring glory and honor to our college.

High standards and expectations for each student in regard to academic performance, co-curricular participation and responsible citizenship are the foundation of our college. It is our pride that we hold these high standards and ask each of our students to commit achievements that has been the legacy of Sumitrians for the past 21 years.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam once said, “You will be a winner if you have a tall aim, if you can sweat for achieving the aim and have an indomitable spirit to overcome any problem you face in your life.” I am pleased to acknowledge that Sumitra Institution lays its stress not just on academic excellence but on “Character formation with academic excellence.” It motivates students to have always high aims and cultivate values as a first priority for the divine, integrity of character and maturity in behavior, pursuit of excellence and creative genius, respect of the human being with a reverence for elders and teachers, loyalty to nation and a balanced understanding of the global conditions.
