Project Description

Sumitra Montessori School is a CBSE pattern-based school situated in Arya Nagar, in the heart of Sitapur.

S – Selflessness
U – Unity
M – Motivation
I – Innovation
T – Talent
R – Respect
A – Awareness

The word ‘Sumitra’ means a nice friend who helps the individual in every aspect of life. It supports an individual’s dynamic personality.
It was established in 1964 by Mrs. Premlata Mehta, an educationist and a philanthropist with a vision to nurture the young minds with knowledge and practical skills, so that they become well balanced and confident young citizens.

The closed environment of the school ensures a one-to-one observation and a close vigil which children need the most in their formative years. The school upholds the motto of ‘Sarva Dharma Sadbhaav’ from Sanskrit which literally means ‘All religions are equal’ in the temple of knowledge. It supports secularism depicted in the Preamble of the Indian Constitution.

The school was started with 50 children and since then the Sumitra Montessori School has grown to become one of the most influential co-educational schools in Sitapur.

From the Principal’s Desk

“There is a saying that if school care well for children, they will fare well in life”

As I walk down the hallways of school everyday,I can hear the chatter of eager minds, the jubilation from the victorious athletes, the thump of dancers’ feet, and the sounds of melodious voices harmonising.
The perpetual energy, movement and enthusiasm with a difference. We value “Dedication, Devotion and Determination “. We are serving the motto of 3Es for the year 2019-2020 which focuses on Education, Etiquette and Empowerment of children.
The School’s genuine concern ensures student’s emotional growth along with intellectual excellence. This empowers them to develop their self-esteem,self-confidence and self-awareness.
We believe in giving our students strong values and strive to experiment & innovate new things on both academic and non-academic fronts.
Besides rigorous scholastic programmes, we seek to develop and nurture the student. From academic to dance, theatre, music and a variety of sports,we focus on developing both, mental and physical abilities.
Today’s India is an empowered, enlightened and enterprising nation. We wish to make it more powerful with smart citizens whom we are nourishing.

Why should a child study in Sumitra Montessori School?

In our school, we nourish, nurture and bind the threads of values and skills. Our earnest effort is to ensure that our school is a home away from, where a child is engaged with a pleasurable pursuit of learning in a healthy environment.

Every element of the school is designed to develop the effective skills of the students, moulding each child’s talent to create a positive expression capable of right action and attitude.

‘The child has a mind able to absorb knowledge. He has the power to teach himself.’
